First Steps Childbirth Education Classes

  • Expecting a baby? The First Steps Childbirth Education program of Franklin County Home Health Agency (FCHHA) can help you prepare for the birth and care of your newborn. For scheduling convenience, the Agency offers: §       Six-week Childbirth Education course held on Monday evenings; next session February 27 through April 2, 7 to 9 p.m. §       One-day “Birth and Beyond” workshop held on Saturdays; next sessions, March 12 and April 14, 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. §       Private, two-hour course in the home for one mother and her coach. The focus of this workshop will be on support of the laboring woman, with hands-on learning techniques. The instructor will contact you to set up a time that is convenient. §       Breastfeeding class, 7 to 9 pm Monday, April 9 All group classes are held at FCHHA in St. Albans. Please call childbirth education coordinator at 527-7531 for fee information and to register. Most insurances cover childbirth education, including our new, private class.
