Lake Champlain over the years: a visual and historical narrative, by Don Wickman
Lake Champlain is one of the most historic bodies of water in the United States. Created through a series of geological events, it has now remained within its present banks for 10,000 years. Native Americans first occupied the shores, leaving their marks before the lake's "discovery" over 400 years ago. Since 1607, the lake has been a site of military conflict, commerce and recreation. Vermont historian Don Wickman will feature tales of lake heritage coupled with illustrations. at Milton Historical Society
