Studio Upgrades

Our old analog video switcher has been replaced by the professional Broadcast Pix computer based system including new monitors for the director and the ability to connect many more inputs into the switcher such as an outside DVD player, an additional camera, and advanced video graphics interface. We have also added a hardwired headset communication system so that the control room can better communicate with crew and talent in the studio without the need for tapping on the glass or sign language.On the studio side, we've got new smoother dollies and tripods and have changed out the cameras with our former field production Sony 250s. The former studio cameras (Sony 170s) are now available for the public to sign out for their productions and for our work with school classes, library programs and summer camps. There's also a new LCD flat screen monitor in the studio and some shelves to keep us organized. LCATV's studio is located at 354 Prim Road in Colchester, please come by and check it out.
