Rusty "The Logger" DeWees brings his "Tiny Town Hall Tour" to the Saint Albans Museum on November 23 -  Rusty DeWees - "The Logger" - will perform comedy, music, and stories for one night only in the Bliss Room at the Saint Albans Museum at 7:30pm on Saturday, November 23. Proceeds from this special benefit show will support the Museum's nonprofit mission to preserve and share community history.

Featuring fresh comedy and fantastically good music, "The Tiny Town Hall Tour" is uniquely modern, yet an old-tyme traditional evening of entertainment, for all ages, longtime fans, and first timers. Tickets are $25/each and will be available online (www.stamuseum.org) as well as at the door; there will be refreshments, silent auction, and more!

“The St. Albans area is perfect for my Tiny Town Hall Tour. The Bliss Room has a cozy feel...audiences feel like old friends at this point," said DeWees. "I’ll perform an all-new set of comedy and a strong poignant piece Vermont farmers will especially understand. I’ll throw in a classic 'Logger' piece or two, sing, play guitar, and of course there’ll be crowd work, so don’t come late … or sneeze if you don’t want to be in the show.” Rusty adds: “Show up on a lawn or farm tractor, get in free. One person per tractor.”

Asked why he’s settling into small venues, DeWees explains: “Vermont communities work hard to preserve and restore Town Halls, Grange Halls, and schoolhouses as you did here in St. Albans, and I’ll be blessed to play a good number of them the next few years. Old halls, like old guitars are more fun to play, and sound better than when new."

The Boston Globe says "The Logger" is: “Inventive, entertaining, exceptional." Rusty DeWees self written/self produced 'One Man Comedy Show' has played to sold out houses throughout New England for 15 years. DeWees, portraying his alter ego, is a raw, energetic backwoodsman that is a combination of all that’s wonderful and wacky about the northern New England spirit. "The Logger" might lack schooling, but he has the wisdom of the hills in his blood and more than his fair share of wit. Some might say Rusty’s comedy is a mix of Larry the Cable Guy and Prairie Home Companion, combining classic stand-up with theater and storytelling. In addition to his comedy routine, DeWees shares his talents with students, non-profits, and human services organizations as a guest speaker and performer, promoting healthy and substance-free living.

DeWees was raised in Stowe, and lives up the road in Elmore, VT. He previously worked in New York City for William J. Doyle of Doyle New York Auction House as well as extensively in television and film. In addition to his work as "The Logger," he writes and produce for businesses, television, radio, and teaches acting.
