Tribute to Martha Pellerin, the late champion of Franco-American culture in Vermont at Burlington's City Hall. Sponsored by Vermont Folklife Center and the Young Tradition Vermont Festival. Info: www.youngtraditionvermont.org

A tribute and memorial to the life and work of Martha Pellerin.  Martha was a musician and community organizer in the Franco-American community.  She grew up in Barre with her Québécois parents and her 6 brothers and sisters. When she saw her cultural traditions slowly disappearing into mainstream American culture—even within the Franco-American community—she became an active proponent of collecting and performing the music of her childhood and connecting newer generations of Franco-Americans to their cultural heritage.
