Drummer Horacio "El Negro" Hernández, has played to synthesize the convergence of jazz, rock and Cuban music. Through his work with jazz luminaries like Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Tito Puente, Chico O'Farrill, and rock icons Carlos Santana and Zucchero, Hernández ranks among Afro-Cuban music's most visible drummer.
